Dave has over 45 years experience in the start-up and running of successful businesses. His experience in marketing, including sales and public relations, has been honed in a diverse number of industries, including health & fitness, wine, games & leisure, graphic arts, music and publishing. He has developed two fitness product innovations as well as an original wine tasting game, all of which received international sales and acclaim.

Other notable work experience includes 10 years as a director of a stock transfer agency as well as consulting to a public junior exploration company. In the music business he regularly went to New York city and lived part of a year in Los Angeles, California. At one point, The Smile Music Group had more Top 20 songs and recordings than any other independent company, resulting in a Juno nomination for Independent Record Company of the Year. His academic background includes a BA from the University of Alberta, Edmonton and a MA (Psychology) from the University of Western Ontario, London.

Personal: plays mainly golf now and some pick up hockey, previously was an avid tennis and squash player who regularly jogged and competed in Half Marathons. His community involvement includes President of a community tennis club, a director of a youth hockey association, coach of a girls middle school basketball team and a canvasser for the March of Dimes (helping children living with disabilities).
